Arun Jaitley: The Rs.100 crore finance minister

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley pushed for change with a vengeance in the Union Budget 2014-15. Literally, he went broke for small change - proposals that were allotted Rs.50 crore and Rs.100 crore.
Here's a list of the proposals.

The Rs.100 crore piggybank
  • Rs.100 crore for cleaner thermal power technology.
  • Rs.100 crore for community radio stations.
  • National Industrial Corridor with headquarters in Pune will be set up. Rs. 100 crore allotted.
  • Rs.100 crore set aside for development of Technology Development Fund.
  • River-linking is back, again Rs.100 crore for a detailed study.
  • Rs.100 crore set aside for Kisan Television to provide real time information on farming and agriculture issues.
  • Rs.100 crore for development of archaeological sites. Gaya to be developed as world class tourism spot.
  • Rs.100 crore for construction of war memorial.
  • Rs.100 crore for modernisation of madrasas.
  • Start-up village at Rs.100 crore to promote entrepreneurship among rural youth.
  • Rs.100 crore Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Yojana launched.
  • Rs.100 crore for training sportspersons for upcoming Commonwealth Games.

This is a very good news for us but we should wait for true results where these money will exactly spent.
